Exactly what we store in an event record, how long we keep it and how to take it with you.
The event record
Below are all the columns we store on a pageview. This is not a selection made for the documentation but the full table layout, and you will see the same names in the header of a backup file.

The full network address exists in server memory for the duration of one request. It enters the pseudonym calculation truncated: IPv4 loses its last octet, IPv6 is cut to /48. Country and city are resolved from a local database on our server, with no lookup leaving our infrastructure.
How long it stays
- Events disappear automatically 25 months after collection, on every plan.
- The daily salts, without which a pseudonym cannot be reconstructed, are deleted after two days.
- The free plan shows the last three months in reports, Pro shows twenty four. Moving to Pro reveals the archive at once, and moving back hides it rather than deleting it.
Report export
Under every report there is a CSV download. The file holds what is on the screen: the same date range, the same filter and the same numbers, up to two thousand rows. If you narrowed the view to one country, the file holds that one country.
Column headers are in English and do not change with the panel language. The file is an interchange format, so its columns must mean the same thing regardless of the language somebody happens to have the interface in.
Backup
This is a different thing from a report export and the difference is worth understanding. An export gives you a computed report; a backup gives you the raw rows, all of them, with no aggregation. From a backup you can reconstruct any report, including one we have not written yet. From an export you can reconstruct nothing but itself.
You will find backups in the site panel, in the Plan and data view. There is one file per calendar month, within the history window of your plan. It works on the free plan too and carries no extra charge.
